This is the dining room, just to the West of the entry hall. It has a 10-light, brass chandelier; oak hardwood floor; the dining table & chairs with matching china cabinet. I have bought a 10'x12' wine red, oriental rug that goes under the table and the room is currently under renovation to have the lower wall between the baseboard and chair rail painted the same wine red color as the rug and a vintage wallpaper installed above the chair rail with a pattern of dark blue, dark gold and dark red stripes with a light gold damask print overlaying the stripes. I'll update the pictures once this project is finished. As you can tell most of the house is standard builder's beige and white -- that can get tiresome after a while. |
